As a director unit member at the Actors Studio, I had a pleasure in directing a 30 min scene from a play “Appropriate” by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (which btw premiered on Broadway last year.) It was a challenge to direct 7 (!) actors and not to lose humor in a very heavy play. But I welcomed that challenge as I’ve learnt so much from the process and collaboration with such talented actors.
