It's been a while since I've posted any updates about "Parallels." There have been quite some troubles and not only in post-production of the project but in the world in general, I'm sure you know it. So, that spark faded away for a bit. But recently, I've been adding subtitles to the behind-the-scenes video for "Parallels" and I sort of remembered it all. The excitement, the anticipation, the joy, the tears (both in and out of character), the struggles, and the rewards of it. The growth I received as a filmmaker, the genuine connections I've made with both cast and crew. And THAT lit up that spark and made me continue, made me finish the project and not give up. I'm officially done with the film and sending it free-floating into the world of festivals until it finds its audience. I also am looking forward to the premiere and to share it with you.
SAG-ELIGIBLE
So… it happened. Today was a special day because I got my last SAG voucher which means I am a SAG-eligible actor!!
Magical fact: I also auditioned for the lead role on this show (#littleamerica) which was an amaaazing experience!! And even though I didn’t get the part, it was nice to work on the show in another role and get the voucher that will open other doors for me. Gratitude overload tonight.

A story about a shirt...
In January 2020, I went to Stanley Kubrick’s exhibition here in LA. I was on the verge - I knew I couldn’t live my life the way I lived but didn’t know how to create a change. The exhibition was very inspiring but I didn’t feel like spending $30 on a shirt about directing and so I just took a picture of it. Just for fun… Or was it a reminder? A dream I was scared to say out loud? After all, “who am I to direct a movie?!” But I guess that other voice, the voice that comes from heart, soul, and courage was stronger than fear this time. When COVID happened I’ve told myself that if I only had one chance on this planet to make a film - it should be Parallels.
The rest - is history.

It's a Wrap!
As I’m signing these thank-you posters for our supporters, I’m trying to keep a straight happy face but inside I’m like 😭
It’s always hard to say goodbye to something you’ve invested your heart and energy to. But the good news is there is a Chapter II - Post Production - and I can’t wait to see what we’ve created.
Cheers to my beautiful cast and crew
